Michael Veazey studied music with French at Leeds University and conducting with répétiteur studies at the Franz Liszt Academy, Weimar (Germany). He also studied at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Whilst at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff he studied conducting with Howard Williams and Opera coaching with Anthony Negus and Gareth Jones of Welsh National Opera. Michael has studied piano privately with Mikhail Kazakevich, Russian concert pianist, and Professor at Trinity Laban.
Michael is Music Director of Brent Opera and a works as a freelance répétiteur for opera companies throughout the United Kingdom. Recent work for University College London Opera includes Verdi’s Aroldo, and Smetana’s Libuše. He is an opera coach and prepares singers privately for
auditions and performances.
Michael is also an experienced choir director and coach. He was Music Director/Conductor of Godalming Choral Society for 10 years, directing
works in Latin, German, French, English & Italian.
