The IIMA Strings Course is designed for amateur players and young musicians, to come together, along with professional musicians to share ideas and experiences. The focus of the course is on chamber music and the skills of performing in a group. The course is led by Ishani Bhoola, Creative Director of the IIMA and an internationally renowned violinist. Throughout the week the students will also have a series of Masterclasses and coaching by the hugely acclaimed Dudok Quartet.

​Everyone will have access to private lessons, and coaching. 

 

The Course is a residential course and all students will stay at the wonderful Manoir du Suquet, an IIMA accommodation partner.

AN OUTLINE SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK IS AS FOLLOWS:

Tuesday 23 September: 10.00 am – 8.00pm Meet & Greet followed by rehearsals & masterclasses

Wednesday 24 September: 10.00am – 5.30pm Coaching, rehearsals & masterclasses

Thursday 25 September: 10.00am – 5.30pm Coaching, rehearsals & masterclasses

Friday 26 September: 10.00am – 8. 00pm Coaching, rehearsals & masterclasses

Saturday 10.00am – 1.00pm – rehearsals followed by an informal concert at 2.00pm

The cost of the Strings Course 2025 is €1,000 

This includes tuition and accommodation. It does NOT include travel.
